How to play

ForHonorDLE is a daily guessing game in the spirit of Wordle and LoLdle, set in the For Honor universe. Every day you get three independent puzzles, one for each mode. The answer is the same for everyone that day, and everything resets at your local midnight, so you start fresh each morning. There is no game over: guesses are unlimited, and your score is simply how many tries it took you. The fewer, the better.

The basics, shared by every mode

You play by typing a name into the search bar, which autocompletes as you type so you never have to spell anything perfectly. After each guess, the game gives you feedback and gets you closer to the answer. When you win, you can share your result as an emoji grid and keep your daily streak alive. You can also replay any past day from the archive.

Hero

Guess the hero of the day, and a grid compares six of their attributes to your guess:

By reading the colors and arrows across a few guesses, you can narrow the roster down to the right hero.

Silhouette

A full-body hero render starts as a dark, heavily blurred shadow. Every wrong guess lifts the blur and the darkness step by step, until the hero becomes clear.

Map

Guess the map of the day from a close-up image. Each wrong guess zooms the image out a little more, revealing new details and landmarks until the location becomes recognizable.

Emoji

Guess the hero of the day from a short emoji rebus. One emoji shows at first, then one more with every wrong guess. The symbols hint at their faction, weapon and story: connect the clues to the right hero.

Bonus modes

On top of the day's four puzzles, two bonus modes take the Hero and Map modes under harder rules. Each has its own puzzle of the day, its own stats and its own share. A bonus win keeps your streak going, but only the four classic modes clear the day. Their past days can be replayed from the archive too.

Hero Challenge

Same roster as the Hero mode, but a different hero every day and a harder rule: a guess uncovers a single cell of its row. The rest come with the following guesses, on every row at once. You reason on partial feedback for several turns, and each guess becomes a real probe rather than a full answer. Unlimited guesses, no game over, and stats kept separate from the classic mode.

Map Challenge

Same map pool as the Map mode, but a different map every day and three extra levers: the crop starts much closer, the colour is almost entirely drained on the early guesses, and the dezoom runs over ten steps instead of six. Colour is the first thing you read on a map, so holding it back changes the whole reading. Twelve possible framings, unlimited guesses, no game over.

Streaks and stats

Solving at least one puzzle a day keeps your streak going. The streak is shared across all three modes and shown on the home page, along with your daily progress. Each mode also keeps its own stats and a distribution of how many tries your wins usually take.

Playing with friends

You can create a private group and compare your daily scores with friends using a shared code, or start a private versus match over one or several modes. No account is required, just a nickname.

That is everything you need. Pick a mode, make your first guess, and see how few tries it takes you today.
